Wes Hunting - Princeton WI
Wes Hunting has been working with glass for over thirty years, first developing the "Colorfield Series" in 1984 and developing the pieces to the present work. In this series, intense colors and patterns are "drawn" onto the glass surface at temperatures exceeding 2000 degrees. Hunting uses various Italian techniques, such as millifiori and zamfirico, and includes decorative techniques personally developed and refined by the artist. While the forms have changed over the years, they have always remained simple, with the intention that they never distract from the increasing complexities of the surface decoration.
